The most effective form of advertising in the region?

I moved and need another 30 students in my studio music lessons before the end of the month to make ends meet. I've always done better by word of mouth, but you need a helping hand for the moment. I sent a thousand postcards for music teachers in the local school after three days and heard nothing, so I am a little discouraged. I think I've 500-1000 postcards sent to my target customers cost me 30-50 cents each, but I'm not sure if how best to spend money. I am already posting on community bulletin boards. What about you? My specialty is music, not marketing. Thank you. I also put my site on Google Local and had four students in one week, yay. You still need more.
